We utilize a curriculum based on a high-quality secular unit studies program that integrates novel studies, project-based learning, and hands-on exploration. Lessons are thoughtfully adapted to meet the developmental and skill levels of each student group while engaging a variety of learning styles through interactive, creative, and experiential approaches.

While we do not offer fully individualized learning plans, our lessons are designed with flexibility in mind, and we often provide slightly more advanced versions of activities, reading, or writing expectations for students who are ready to go deeper. This allows students to stay with their peer group while still being appropriately challenged and engaged.

On average, families can expect about one full lesson per subject sent home each week. These may include short quizzes, worksheets, reading assignments, or similar follow up activities tied to what your child covered in class. Participation is strongly encouraged, since it helps provide continuity between our in-person sessions and reinforces what your child is learning day to day.

Students are placed based on a combination of age and overall skill level. We use general developmental guidelines, curriculum based assessments, and parent input to ensure each child is placed in the group where they will feel both supported and appropriately challenged.

Our groups are described as:

Blue Group:
These students are beginning readers and writers. They are developing early literacy skills such as letter recognition, phonics, basic word building, and simple sentence formation.

Red Group:
These students have some experience with reading and writing. They are strengthening foundational literacy skills while beginning to engage with more complex texts, expanding vocabulary, and writing with greater intention and structure.

Green Group:
These students are developing stronger reading comprehension and writing abilities. They are transitioning from learning to read to reading to learn, and their writing is becoming more detailed, organized, and expressive.

No, your child will not miss material if enrolled in a single enrichment day. Enrichment classes are designed to stand alone and are not dependent on attendance from other days. While the weekly theme or topic may be similar, each day’s lesson is unique and tailored to the specific age group. This allows students to fully participate and benefit from the experience no matter which enrichment day they attend.

Yes, our courses are offered year round. Classes are open for enrollment at any time, as long as there is availability in the desired age group.

We offer flexibility for both short-term travel and longer breaks. Families may request short-term vacation credits for brief absences, as well as a tuition pause of up to two months per academic year (consecutive or non-consecutive) for extended time away, such as summer travel or family needs.

We take a very intentional and limited approach to technology in the classroom. With the exception of our Green Group, students do not use individual computers or personal devices. Our focus is on building strong foundational skills through hands-on learning, collaboration, and real-world experiences before introducing personal technology. Green Group utilizes laptops to learn typing skills and facilitate guided research projects.

We use shared classroom screens for purposeful supplemental videos or clips that support the topics being taught. On rare occasions or during special events, we may show age-appropriate movies as part of a themed activity or celebration.

We also maintain a cell phone and smartwatch–free policy for students. This policy exists not only to reduce distractions, but also to protect student safety and privacy, ensure age-appropriate interactions, and maintain a focused, secure learning environment.

As a homeschool enrichment program, our focus is on meaningful learning experiences, growth, and skill development rather than formal grading.

For Core Days, we partner with families to divide assignments between class and home learning days. Families receive access to: current learning objectives, suggested at-home activities, helpful resources, worksheets, spelling words, quizzes, and reading recommendations. This allows you to easily support and extend your child’s learning on homeschool days as needed.

We also keep families informed in several ways:

• Regular updates and classroom highlights shared through our parent portal

• Teacher feedback and open communication about student progress or concerns

This approach provides meaningful insight into your child’s development while keeping learning flexible, supportive, and homeschool-centered.

Our program is completely secular. Our courses do not include religious instruction and are open to all families, regardless of religious affiliation or background.

The only requirement for enrollment is that your child is being homeschooled in some capacity, as HeartSync serves as a supplement to your homeschool education.

All teachers are required to complete a background check prior to employment.

All tours and visits are supervised, and our closed-campus policy helps ensure the safety, security, and consistency of our learning environment for students.

We currently accept children ages 4-12 years of age. All students must be able to use the restroom fully independently.

Yes. Enrollment in our Core Program requires participation on both Tuesday and Thursday. The curriculum and structure are designed as a two-day experience, and consistent attendance on both days is essential for continuity and student success.

Yes, students are required to bring their own peanut free lunch & peanut free snack. Please bring a reusable water bottle to use throughout the day.

At HeartSync Homeschool Hub, we are committed to creating a healthy and safe environment for all students, families, and staff.

We respectfully request that families follow standard vaccination schedules as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or provide an exemption form.

HeartSync is an enrichment program, not a therapeutic or specialized needs setting. We do our best to support a range of learners within our mixed age groups, and many kids with different learning styles thrive here.

Our goal is to determine whether our environment and structure would be a good fit for your family.

We offer a Discovery Day as an opportunity for students to experience our classroom setting, routines, and expectations so we can better assess whether our program can appropriately support their needs.

That said, there may be situations where a child's needs fall outside what we're equipped to provide well. In those cases, we'll always talk with you honestly and, where we can, help point you toward other local resources that might be a stronger fit.
